Man who trafficked 60 to Southeast Asia with fake jobs & sold each for $1,000, held

Mumbai man Manish alias ‘Maddy’ Gopi was arrested for trafficking around 60 youths to Myanmar and Thailand with fake job offers. Once there, they were sold to a Chinese cybercrime racket for $1,000 each and forced into online scams. Police are probing the wider international network and working to repatriate more victims still trapped abroad.
