Kerala man killed in firing at Jordan-Israel border
A Kerala resident, Ani Thomas Gabriel, was killed by Jordanian military personnel at the Jordan-Israel border on February 10. Gabriel had traveled to Jordan with three others, attempting to cross into Israel with help from an agent. Another relative, Edison, was injured but survived. The Indian Embassy confirmed Gabriel's death to his family on March 1.
