The Supreme Court on Tuesday quashed Enforcement Directorate's (ED) summons under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) issued to Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar. The summons were related to a 2017 Income Tax raid, allegedly resulting in the seizure of Rs 7 crore unaccounted cash from the Congress leader's premises.

Patnibin (31), who was calling from Galilee, northern Israel, chatted to his seven-month-pregnant wife Seyona, joked with his five-year-old daughter, Amiya, and then spoke to his father, admitting that the chicken farm at Margaliot, a moshav (collective agricultural community) where he worked, was no longer safe. Hours later Patnibin was dead. He was killed in a cross-border anti-tank missile attack by the Lebanese Shia militant group Hezbollah.

Five more people were arrested in connection with the gangrape of a Spanish national in Dumka district of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand high court will hear the case on March 7. The survivor received Rs 10 lakh as compensation. The SIT investigated the crime. The survivor took selfies with officials and appreciated the government for their swift response.

The Bombay High Court's Nagpur bench acquitted G N Saibaba and five others in the UAPA case. This is his second acquittal in 15 months after the previous verdict was overturned by the Supreme Court. The court cited technical grounds for the acquittal and mentioned the invalid sanction to prosecute the accused.
