Tamil Nadu House passes resolution against 'one nation, one poll'

Tamil Nadu assembly on Wednesday adopted a resolution urging the Union govt not to implement the ‘one nation, one election’ policy. It adopted another resolution unanimously urging the Centre not to carry out delimitation of constituencies based on the census post 2026, even as CM MK Stalin called the policy “dangerous, impractical and comical.” DMK allies, Congress, VCK, MDMK and Left parties supported the resolution. PMK, which released its shadow budget, did not participate in the day’s proceedings. Stalin moved both resolutions.

ED questions Paytm executives on RBI-flagged 'irregularities'

Isro to launch weather satellite on February 17

In a boost to India's meteorological services, Isro will launch INSAT-3DS from Sriharikota spaceport at 5.30 pm on February 17. The satellite will be launched by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle F14 (GSLV F14). In its 16th mission, the GSLV aims to deploy the satellite into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO).

Delhi most polluted of 254 Indian cities in January: Study

According to a research conducted by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air, the national capital was the most polluted city in the country out of 254 in January this year. The average PM2.5 concentration was 206 micrograms per cubic metre, exceeding the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) every day of the month. Bhagalpur was close to Delhi.
